PBPC Daily - April 14

Dear Friends,

Good morning and welcome to Tuesday. As I enjoy this beautiful springtime, I am again reminded that the message of Easter is that the God of life has overcome death. The life that He promises to us as the human beings that He loves is the life that comes from knowing Him, and knowing Him means being in relationship with the One that He sent to us, His Son Jesus Christ.

Jesus says, "I am the vine and you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5). This is a wonderful description of the life of God: it flows into us as we are connected to Jesus Christ - as we abide in him. Abide means to dwell or remain. It is as simple as this - we have life as we abide in Christ.

Today I encourage you to reflect on how you are experiencing the life of God in Christ. And let us ask ourselves this question as well: How am I abiding in Christ?
